This Friday March 24, you can support The Center by joining host Michael Fiacco for “Art for a Cause!” which takes place from 5pm – 7pm @The Center! Featuring exquisite paintings, sculpture, photography, mixed media, and fine art jewelry by 12 great contemporary artists! FIFTY PERCENT (50%!) of all art sales will go directly to The Center!  Cocktails, wine, nibbles will be provided. Thank you to the participating artists: Lee Balan, Ben Darby, William Dey, Gary Dorothy, Mark Garry, Haya Gil-Lubin, Alvaro Luna, Chris Reilly, Dorothy Rissman, Elaine Sigwald, Angela Valente Romeo, and Nancy Worthington. Did you Know
According to a UCLA Williams Institute study released in July 2016, more than 1 in 4 LGBT adults (27%) experienced a time in the previous year that they did not have enough money for the food that they or their families needed. According to FIND Food Bank, for 1 in 6 residents in Coachella Valley, food insecurity is a reality. The Community Food Bank @ The Center is here ensure that no LGBT person in Coachella Valley faces that time when they cannot get access to food. So far this year, we’ve provided groceries to food bank clients which equate to more than 73,250 meals!

L-Fund is very excited at the success of our last two Gumbo Gala Fundraisers, and is thrilled to have booked The Palm Springs Pavillion during Dinah Shore weekend for our 3rd Annual Affair. The FUNDRAISER includes choice of award-winning gumbo (seafood/chicken/sausage or vegetarian) by Chef Betty Berrysmith, awards presentation to honoree Katherine V Forrest, Novelist [remember lesbian detective Kate Dellafield?] and Editor, plus special guest Kate Kendell, Esq and Executive Director of NCLR, entertainment by Gennine Jackson, and dancing, of course!
