Get SMART - Become a Mentor | Jun 10
Share your wisdom and experience with those who'll benefit most: Youth in our community!
With SMART, community mentors meet one-on-one and help coach students through the application and financial aid process. Applying to college, and seeking financial aid, may be the some of the most daunting tasks of adolescence. Add inequality, income disparity, and cultural and learning differences to the mix and daunting can become overwhelming.

American Sign Language is back! - ASL Level I & II, starting Jul 13
This 8-week course is for those who want to learn another language and communicate with members of the Deaf Community. During these classes, students will actively engage with exciting activities so that learning another language becomes fun again. No experience necessary, as this course is for beginners!
When: Saturdays, starting Jul 13 (8 Weeks)
  • ASL-I: 9:30 to 11:00 am
  • ASL-II: 11:30 am to 1:00 pm

13th Annual LGBTQ Community Survey - Calling for support!
We are asking again our community for support by taking part in the 13th Annual LGBTQ Community Survey.
Participation in this survey gives important feedback to our LGBTQ community media and organizations, and provides valid data to companies interested in serving our community, sponsoring our charities, and supporting their LGBTQ employees. Last year's survey yielded 45,000 respondents from 150 countries! It should take 12-15 minutes to complete.

Greg Baldwin, CEO of Matrix Insurance Solutions and a member of the Stonewall Golfers Group, presents the Board of The Center with a check got $10,000 raised during the recent Rainbow Challenge held here in Palm Springs.

Licensed psychotherapist and board certified clinical sexologist with over 20 years of private practice experience in the gay community, Dr. Arlen K Leight have lectured extensively on gay relationship issues. He is also author of the book Sex Happens: The Gay Man’s Guide to Creative Intimacy, and he recently facilitated the “When Passion Dies While Love Survives" discussion group @ The Center.

Grease Interactive Singalong and Carnival tonight!
Grease is still the word… End the school year right?...Join others at 6 pm for the wildest cocktail party in the form of a high school carnival. Many booths to play the classic games, win silly prizes and meet the community. And as always a special dress-up award goes to best costume.

Hot Mess in a Dress 2019 - May 25
HMIAD is a non-profit event benefiting The Trevor Project, the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ) young people under 25, and Palms Springs’ QChella, a local LGBTQ+ founded, directed, and managed non-profit media corporation serving the needs of the community.

RAINBOW RELATIVES (Real World Stories and Advice on How To Talk To Kids About LGBTQ Families and Friends)
The author collected real, humorous, and heartwarming stories to help answer questions children may have on various topics about LGBTQ people and families. 
Film maker, Del Shores, (Sordid Lives) speaks of raising two daughters as a gay dad. Bruce Vilanch (Hollywood Squares) talks about being “Godfather” to 40 kids”. Country singer Chely Wright speaks of the battles still being fought. A woman recalls how she explained to her children their father is gay.

Leather Sex lectures continues Jun 7
Guy Baldwin—his ideas, perspective, writing, and activism—have shaped how we understand Leather. As fierce with a line of reasoning as he is with a bullwhip, Baldwin’s books and articles have challenged people's assumptions, and brought his audience finally to a deeper understanding of the possibilities of BDSM, Mastery and consensual slavery, and what it means to be a leatherman.
