Four days of poetry, art, music and theatre in remembrance of the Stonewall riots. Joshua Tree Stonewall Remembrance happens June 22 - 25 at  Art Queen (61855 Twentynine Palms Highway).

Events reflecting the gay experience include poetry and book readings, a light hearted talk with film director and actor Guinevere Turner, film director, actor, fashion show, spoken word, art opening live entertainment, live music, dance party, and more

Barry Manilow announces “A Gift Of Love IV” to benefit 25 Coachella Valley charities, including yours truly – The Center! Concerts are scheduled for December 12, 13, 15, 16 and 17, and will feature his hit songs and holiday favorites. His past holiday concerts have surprised audiences with a children’s choir, Santa Claus, and even snow!

Everyone has a story to tell. In this informally structured, 6-week workshop, David will guide both new and returning writers through bringing their stories to life, writing priorities, the editing process, and the challenges of getting published vs. self-publishing.

The AIDS pandemic struck the performing arts particularly hard.  Dancers We Lost is an important step in documenting and bringing to light the lives and contributions of performers, most of whom tragically died young. With a planned database providing accurate information about their lives and careers,  DWL ensures they will not be forgotten, anonymous virtuosos.
"The boys have gathered to spend an evening in a safe place where they can just be themselves. Someone brings along a game, a version of “Truth or Dare,” here called “Fact, Fiction or Fantasy.” So that’s how the clothes come off, as they win or lose at each turn, while the audience learns more about each one’s life. The audience gains insight as they describe an incident in their past or act out a challenge. It builds into an amazing and gleeful final scene which you will love.

LKA Palm Springs is passionate about creating opportunities for long-term survivors to socialize with friends and one another in an accepting and open environment. Their regular  social events include potlucks, coffee socials, and movie outings.
Monthly Potlucks, Walk Abouts,  Ladies Night Out and Jazz. These are just a few of the activities you could become involved with. How?
