Next Drawing Class starts January 17th 2018
Back To Basics
The Back to Basics, Advanced Basics class is designed as the second in the Back To Basics series. While it picks up where the first set of classes left off, completion of those classes is not necessary for attendance. The focus once again will be drawing techniques based on observation. In these sessions we will continue to develop skills in drawing still life subjects, this time advancing into new media, including colored pencils and conte’ sticks. Students will continue to develop their own personal styles while incorporating color into their work. We will also begin to explore abstraction and more conceptual ideas in drawing.
The class will meet Wednesday mornings from 10:00 am until noon. It will be a ten-week course, beginning January 17 and continuing through March 28. I believe this time frame will allow for artistic development in the basic ideas and skills of drawing and begin to explore more advanced areas.
