Walk of the Stars Honors John McDonald & Rob Wright

Last Friday our community gathered @ The Center to celebrate John McDonald and Rob Wright, who were honored with the 434th ⭐️ on Walk of the Stars, steps away from the building they so generously donated to us in 2015.

The big generosity has also included property to the LA LGBT Center and UCLA Law of School's - The William Institute for Sexual Orientation Law & Public Policy, establishing the McDonald/Wright Chair of Law which encourage scholars to pursue sexual orientation issues.

It was a beautiful day to celebrate these two extraordinary philanthropists who have done so much for the LGBTQ community and simply make the world a more vibrant place.

Fun Fridays @ The Center:
Tie-Dye
Invented in the mid-1960s in the United States, Tie-dye typically consists of folding, twisting, pleating, or crumpling fabric or a garment and binding with string or rubber bands, followed by application of dye(s). So for this Friday we are feeling groovy and show our Tie-Dye looks.
Let us see how you own this week’s theme by sharing a Fun Friday pic on our Fun Friday Facebook post, and use the hashtags #centerfunfriday and #thecenterps on your favorite social channels (links below) so we can follow the fun!

DINNER WITH FRIENDS by Donald Margulies

The complexities of marriage and friendship are examined with wit and intelligence in Dinner with Friends, Donald Margulies’ Pulitzer Prize-winning 1998 play about two married couples who have been friends for many years. As both couples struggle with questions of loyalty, individuality, and commitment in this deliciously funny, sharply observed drama, the ultimate question is posed – If Gabe and Karen didn’t really know Beth and Tom as well as they assumed…do they really know each other? The willingness or unwillingness to engage in this re-evaluation is the heart and spirit of the play. Directed by Darin Anthony

*WINNER of the 2000 Pulitzer Prize.

Where: CVRep Playhouse - 68510 E. Palm Canyon Drive, Cathedral City, CA
