“Dr. Gover is pleased to announce a new grant to provide therapy for older adults, funded by Riverside County Department of Mental Health through the Mental Health Services Act, Prevention and Early Intervention Services.  The Scott Hines Mental Health Center now provides the only FREE  Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Late Life Depression treatment program in Coachella Valley. We serve adults age 60 and over who are experiencing early symptoms of depression, and provide them  with free evidence-based therapy. Unfortunately depression among older adults is extremely common but largely untreated. Our program is effective in helping seniors break out of isolation, problem solve stressors in their life, and improve overall well-being.

Our older adult CBT treatment program is completely free of charge to participants.

If you are interested in learning more about the services provided by the CBT for Late-Life Depression program, or possibly know someone who may need our assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us at 760-416-7899. Brochures and flyers are available upon request.”

After recent news that the US Census is not planning on tracking data on the LGBT community in the upcoming 2020 Census, participation in this survey is more critical than ever. It gives important feedback to LGBT community media and organizations across the county and globe! The survey should take about 10 minutes to complete, and everyone who completes the survey by May 15, 2017 may enter into a drawing to win one of twenty US $50 cash or gift certificate prizes.
