Dates For The Next Drawing Class Coming Soon
Back To Basics
The Back to Basics drawing class is an opportunity for beginning drawing students to gain elementary skills, as well as for those more experienced to refresh themselves in elementary concepts. The course is designed to progress from drawing simple shapes, such as boxes and spheres, to more detailed and complex still life. All work is based on direct observation in the classroom with the focus on development of the ability to interpret three-dimensional objects into two-dimensional drawing.
The instructor, Mike McLain, earned his BFA from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2008 with specializations in drawing and sculpture. In 2010 he received an MA in studio art from Claremont Graduate University.
