6 weeks - Wednesdays
This class is for the student who wants to utilize our varied landscape and urban scenes to expand their drawing experience. Still life is wonderful, but there is a whole world outside full of interesting subjects to explore.
We will discuss relevant ideas such as depth and scale, creating interesting compositions, isolating details for effective drawings, and use of materials in an environment that is less forgiving than the class room. Mostly, we will spend the class time drawing. Some experience is required. For the student new to drawing we offer Drawing Boot Camp sessions which meet at the Center.

Suggested but not required items can also include larger sketchbook, graphite sticks, soft pastels. Some materials may be added as class progresses if students express an interest in exploring other drawing media.
