StreetBar was the first Gay business on Arenas Road and it is the oldest and longest running bar serving the LGBT community in the desert. In the course of years in the desert, Dick has served on the Boards of Directors for the original Desert Gay Rodeo Association, The Desert Business Association, The Desert Gay Tourism Guild and the AIDS Assistance Program. Dick and his staff at StreetBar have been very active in fundraising for various charities including AAP, DAP, The Center, Friends of the Palm Springs Animal Shelter, The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Smile Train, and many others. Dick is honored to have been selected to serve on the Board of Directors of The Center.
